Exemption and Placement Commission

The Exemption and Academic Adjustment Commission reviews applications for course exemptions and academic adjustments submitted by students—whether through horizontal or vertical transfers, central placement, double major or minor programs, student exchange programs, or previously completed higher education programs—regarding courses they have already successfully passed. The Commission evaluates these courses by comparing their content, learning outcomes, credits, ECTS values, weekly contact hours, and the student’s performance, in accordance with relevant legislation and academic principles. It determines which courses the student may be exempted from, the academic year or semester to which the student should be assigned, and any additional requirements the student must fulfill, subsequently submitting its assessment to the Head of the Department.
